Before you buy

Compatible devices

To use an ElloSim eSIM your device must be (1) eSIM-capable and (2) carrier-unlocked. Almost every flagship phone sold globally since 2018 qualifies. Use the list below to confirm, or the 30-second check.

30-second compatibility check
  1. iPhone: Settings → General → About → scroll to "Available SIM" or "EID". If you see an EID number, you have eSIM.
  2. Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs (or Connections → SIM manager). If you can tap "Add eSIM" or "Download a SIM instead", you have eSIM.
  3. Unlock check: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should say "No SIM restrictions" (iPhone), or contact your carrier (Android).
