## What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of swapping a plastic
card, you install a data plan digitally. Your physical SIM stays in the phone,
so you keep your number, calls, and apps like WhatsApp working as normal.

## How it works

2. **QR by email** — your eSIM QR code arrives by email within seconds.
3. **Scan** — open your phone settings, choose "Add eSIM / Add cellular plan", and scan the QR.
4. **Connected** — the plan activates when you arrive and connects to a local network.

Validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network in the destination
country, not at purchase — so you can install before you fly.
